NSE Research

Where Lived Experience and Science work together to advance the field of human transformation.
 
NSE Research is the scientific backbone of the Nervous System Economy.
It includes three interconnected pillars:
 

  • Research Artefacts – theory, papers, frameworks, maps (led by Shannon)

  • NSE Labs – applied systems research, coherence science, field dynamics (led by Dr Joshua Rosenthal)

  • NSE Clinics – human-focused clinical inquiry and safety frameworks (led by Dr Abrar Hussain)
     

Together, these arms ensure that NSI evolves with scientific rigour, experiential insight, and real-world application.

THE
INTERDISCIPLINARY LANDSCAPE

Nine bodies of knowledge, one coherent theory.

 

Shannon Eastman, Dr Abrar Hussain, and Dr Joshua Rosenthal have integrated nine disparate scientific and developmental domains into a unified architecture of Nervous System Intelligence.

NSE Research, Labs, and Clinics will evolve into a global centre for nervous system–based transformation, supporting practitioners, organisations, sectors, and systems around the world.

THE 3 ARMS OF NSE RESEARCH

Clinical inquiry into nervous-system-based healing and transformation. Led by Dr Abrar Hussain, NSE Clinics focus on:

  • clinical safety and ethical frameworks

  • dysregulation patterns and presentations

  • relational and psychological mechanisms

  • NSI-informed clinical models

  • integration with medical and therapeutic systems

  • future clinical trials and outcome-based studies

Clinics ensure NSI remains grounded, safe, and clinically relevant.

02 Clinics

Applied research in systems, coherence, and real-world environments. Led by Dr Joshua Rosenthal, NSE Labs explores:

  • coherence science

  • field dynamics

  • system-level adaptation

  • organisational pilots

  • interdisciplinary research collaborations

  • applied models of energy, load, and human performance

Labs bridge theoretical insight with measurable, real-world application.

Mapping the architecture of human transformation. Led by Shannon Eastman, Research Artefacts includes:

  • NSI Theory (scholarly papers)

  • Frameworks, maps, diagrams

  • Definitions, constructs, methodological notes

  • Plain-language versions for practitioners & the public

  • The ongoing development of the NSI canon

Its purpose: to make implicit patterns explicit, through structured, testable, and coherent models.

03 Artefacts

NSE opens in 2026 with the launch of the NSI School, our first DIY digital products, and the early formation of Labs, Clinics, and Sectors.

Science offers extraordinary contributions -depth, precision, and the ability to isolate mechanisms we could not otherwise see.
Lived Experience offers something equally profound -pattern-recognition across decades, synthesis across disciplines, and a timeliness that often precedes scientific confirmation by years.

NSE Research is committed to the space between these two worlds:

  • Science provides anchor points, validation, and structure.

  • Lived Experience reveals emerging patterns, implicit dynamics, and integrative insights across silos.

 

Where traditional science must work inside tightly defined boundaries, lived experience pulls the contents of multiple disciplines onto the same table, organising, mapping, and synthesising what no single field can see alone.

NSE walks this line deliberately:

honouring empirical science, while also holding the integrity of lived experience that often runs 10–15 years ahead of published research.

This is the foundation upon which NSI Theory was built.
